25 of the largest companies globally pledged emission reductions as part of the 2016 UN Sustainable Development Goals. However, a report conducted last year by NewClimate Institute suggests they will only aim to achieve a target of 40% emission reduction, far from claims to achieve net zero or 100% carbon neutrality.
